Stormers hooker Scarra Ntubeni admits he is enjoying “healthy competition” with Bongi Mbonambi as the pair fight to make their Springbok bow. The duo, who were named alongside captain Adriaan Strauss in Allister Coetzee’s squad, got the nod over in-form Lions hooker Malcolm Marx. And after first being included in a Springbok camp back in October 2013 without ever making his debut, Ntubeni is hopeful his long wait is over. “I’ve had that Springbok blazer over my arm now for I think three years so hopefully I can get a chance, if coach approves,” he told sport24.co.za. “I’m feeling good at the moment. I don’t have any niggles. It’s been a while since I’ve been injury free.” He added on his friendly rivalry with Mbonambi: “It’s good. There is no animosity or anything. It’s healthy competition between us.
