The Republic of Fiji Military Forces is focused on providing the right platform for its leaders. This week RFMF chief of staff Colonel Litea Seruiratu will be part of a 5-day development training, titled Building Integrity For Senior Leaders at the Shrivenham based Defence Academy of the United Kingdom which is close to Oxford in England. The course is designed for one star and two stars generals. RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto said they were fortunate to be invited. Colonel Seruiratu is the first from Fiji to be part of this training. “It’s good for the upcoming RFMF leaders and that they get this opportunity early in their career to prepare them for the bigger leadership roles that are ahead of them,” he said. The aim of the course is to enhance the understanding of the role of senior leaders of corruption risks within the Defence and Security sector and of the measures that can be used to reduce those risks.
