Lautoka face Korovuto

The Salesh Bula Sami-captained Lautoka side will face Korovuto in the first semifinal of the 57th Sanatan IDC at Cuvu College, Sigatoka today. Korovuto will miss the services of striker Anish Khem but will be bolstered by Futsal reps Diraj Kumar and Roderick Kumar.

In the other semifinal Nadi will face high flying Nasinu. Bula was in impressive form for the Blues in the 2-1 win over Wairabetia in the quarter-final yesterday. Korovuto hammered Makoi 3-1, Nadi thrashed Nabua 3-0 while Nasinu edged Votualevu 4-3 in penalty kicks. Sanatan Sports secretary Arvin Maharaj rated the new teams. “The new teams like Korovuto, Wairabetia and Makoi impressed,” he said.

In the veterans’ competition final Korovuto will face Makoi.

In the first semi-final yesterday Korovuto beat Lautoka 4-3 while Makoi beat Wairabetia 1-0.
