NZ$1 billion fund for Housing crisis
Wellington: Prime Minister John Key has announced a new NZ$1 billion (FJ $1.49 bn) fund to fasttrack infrastructure development by councils with high new housing demands.
The councils currently eligible to access the fund for such things as water and roading development are Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Christchurch and Queenstown.
They are the cities that are expected to have more than 10 per cent population growth in the next 10 years. NZ Herald
