New registry of­fice to open in Nabouwalu

Vo­cea out­lines new devel­op­ments for af­ter Bud­get al­lo­ca­tions

The Com­mis­sioner North­ern Jovesa Vo­cea said the open­ing of the new Birth, Death and Mar­riage (BDM) of­fice in Nabowalu was great news for the peo­ple of Bua. It will save them time and money. “The cur­rent pro­ce­dure to ac­cess BDM ser­vices for the peo­ple of Bua is to visit the Pro­vin­cial Ad­min­is­tra­tor Bua of­fice to lodge their ap­pli­ca­tion be­fore Pro­vin­cial Ad­min­is­tra­tor Of­fice sends th­ese ap­pli­ca­tion forms to BDM Of­fice in Labasa for pro­cess­ing,” Mr Vo­cea said. “With the new es­tab­lish­ment of BDM Of­fice in Nabouwalu it is great news to the peo­ple of Bua given that all their ap­pli­ca­tion will be pro­cessed in Nabouwalu.

“Peo­ple will be able to save a lot of money; so both is­sues on time and money spent will be solved.” Mr Vo­cea said with the bud­get al­lo­ca­tion given to each min­istry he was re­ally look­ing for­ward to work with them on the im­ple­men­ta­tion of var­i­ous projects es­pe­cially for North­ern Di­vi­sion. “I am very happy know­ing that most of the funds al­lo­cated for the North­ern di­vi­sion would boost gov­ern­ment ser­vices es­pe­cially for the vul­ner­a­ble peo­ple liv­ing in our ru­ral ar­eas,” Mr Vo­cea said. “I had a meet­ing with the heads of Gov­ern­ment depart­ment yes­ter­day to hear from them about their achieve­ment this year and what was pro­grammed for the new fi­nan­cial year.”
