Pakistan is using the unrest in Jammu and Kashmir to fish in troubled waters, condemning the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani as an “extrajudicial killing”. In a strongly worded statement, the Pakistan foreign office said: “The extra-judicial killing of Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani and scores of other innocent Kashmiris is deplorable and condemnable. “Such acts are a violation of fundamental human rights of Kashmiris and cannot deter the people of J&K from their demand for realisation of the right to self-determination.” The Indian government refused to rise to the bait and respond to the statement.
