Bravo and Kuddos for this landmark occasion. But all Indians (Indo Fijians) in Fiji are not descendants of Girimitiya’s. There was a considerable number of ... including Gujarati, Punjabi, and Ethic (Non-Sanatan Converts) Arya Samajis who came at least up to two decades before the Girmitiya as free men to do business and to work in the civil service. Some of them were not even from India but from South Africa, UK, Uganda and other British colonies. These people settled mainly in Suva and Nausori areas, inc the province of Rewa, and one was a very popular Rewa Football player (Kuar Battan Singh) so what about these non Girmitiyas who did so much for Rewa and Suva ..
