Al­leged vi­o­lent rob­ber re­manded

A man charged with one count each of acts with in­tent to cause griev­ous harm and theft has been fur­ther re­manded in cus­tody by the Suva High Court .

31-year-old Ji­uta Moroca yes­ter­day ap­peared be­fore Jus­tice Salesi Temo for al­legedly punch­ing shop owner Lin Li Sheng con­tin­u­ously us­ing his fist un­til she was com­pletely un­con­scious and al­legedly ran away with $2000 in cash on May 9. The pros­e­cu­tion has sought time from the court as the vic­tim has yet to fully re­cover from her in­juries and also await­ing her med­i­cal re­port. The court has been ad­journed to Septem­ber 2.
