Samuela Vurewa sealed the deal for Queen Victoria School (QVS) scoring the winning try against Ratu Kadavulevu School yesterday. The Victorians won 17-13 in the U15 Coke Zero Deans finals at the ANZ Stadium yesterday. The 15-year-old from Nalawa in Ra scored the last try of the game with only three minutes to go as QVS was down 12-13. “I am so excited about this win and very happy that we retained our title, it was a team effort from everyone,” Vurewa said. “I cannot explain how I felt at that moment but it was definitely a moment of relief and happiness because it was a tight game. Meanwhile, Coach Wavala Cagica could not hold his emotion as he was overwhelmed with the win despite the devastation caused by Cyclone Winston in February. “This win means a lot to us because all the schools are fighting for glory but for us, we are fighting for survival,” Cagica said.
