King contestants showcase talents
Mr APCO Christopher Prasad on stage at the 2016 Vodafone Hibiscus Festival after winning the Hibiscus King talent contest at the Vodafone Arena in Suva last night.
The 2016 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival first Kings contestant judging began with a bang at the FMF Gymnasium yesterday.
Chief guest at the Kings talent judging Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou says young people need to pursue and nurture all different kinds of talents. “The youths need to express their talents to be involved in the development and growth of our nation.” “Hibiscus is a platform where these young King contestants will perform and showcase all their talents as they compete against each other to win the title of Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus King 2016,” Mr Tuitubou said. He urged the youths of Fiji to take responsibility and learn from the contestants to help build up the economy of Fiji and make Fiji a better and safer place for all. The talent show was assessed by a five.
King contestant Mr Shopfittings, Inia Vunidakua started the talent show by performing a mixed Island dance. He relates his performance on our society such as dance, arts and crafts, sports and also focused on accidents on our roads. Mr Krish Amusement, Sidharth Maharaj, acknowledged his mother and her importance in his life as his talent show performance. The talent contest was won by Mr APCO Christopher Prasad.
