King con­tes­tants show­case tal­ents

Mr APCO Christo­pher Prasad on stage at the 2016 Voda­fone Hibis­cus Fes­ti­val af­ter win­ning the Hibis­cus King tal­ent con­test at the Voda­fone Arena in Suva last night.

The 2016 Voda­fone Fiji Hibis­cus Fes­ti­val first Kings con­tes­tant judg­ing be­gan with a bang at the FMF Gym­na­sium yes­ter­day.

Chief guest at the Kings tal­ent judg­ing Min­is­ter for Youth and Sports, Laise­nia Tuitubou says young peo­ple need to pur­sue and nur­ture all dif­fer­ent kinds of tal­ents. “The youths need to ex­press their tal­ents to be in­volved in the de­vel­op­ment and growth of our na­tion.” “Hibis­cus is a plat­form where these young King con­tes­tants will per­form and show­case all their tal­ents as they com­pete against each other to win the ti­tle of Voda­fone Fiji Hibis­cus King 2016,” Mr Tuitubou said. He urged the youths of Fiji to take re­spon­si­bil­ity and learn from the con­tes­tants to help build up the econ­omy of Fiji and make Fiji a bet­ter and safer place for all. The tal­ent show was as­sessed by a five.

King con­tes­tant Mr Shop­fit­tings, Inia Vu­nidakua started the tal­ent show by per­form­ing a mixed Is­land dance. He re­lates his per­for­mance on our so­ci­ety such as dance, arts and crafts, sports and also fo­cused on ac­ci­dents on our roads. Mr Kr­ish Amuse­ment, Sid­harth Ma­haraj, ac­knowl­edged his mother and her im­por­tance in his life as his tal­ent show per­for­mance. The tal­ent con­test was won by Mr APCO Christo­pher Prasad.
