Stalls near ANZ Sta­dium stay open for Rio party

Voda­fone Hibis­cus stall own­ers op­er­at­ing near the ANZ Sta­dium at Lau­cala Bay, Suva, will stay open for busi­ness on Mon­day.

“This is to cater for the pub­lic who will be com­ing down for the much an­tic­i­pated Team Fiji 7s rugby gold medal cel­e­bra­tion at the ANZ Sta­dium,” said Voda­fone Hibis­cus com­mit­tee spokesper­son, Liga Guk­isuva. “Only the stalls near the Voda­fone arena will be taken down at the end of the festival to­day (Satur­day), as the area will be used for park­ing on Mon­day,” said Mr Guk­isuva.

“Voda­fone Hibis­cus festival of­fi­cially ends to­day (Satur­day), only the stalls near the ANZ Sta­dium will be op­er­at­ing on Mon­day,” he said. At­tempts to get com­ments from the Hibis­cus Events Group (HEG) by phone re­gard­ing stall own­ers pay­ing an ex­tra fee to stay open on Mon­day were not an­swered. Edited by Ru­si­ate Mataika
