Birthday Win For Indigo, Port Denarau
The Indigo Indian Asian Restaurant at the Port Denarau celebrated its ninth anniversary after receiving great news. The eatery owned by Jack’s of Fiji restaurants has been recognised for superior service, walking away with the 2016 Certificate of Excellence by internationally recognised American travel website Trip Advisor. Jack’s Restaurants Operations manager, Vishal Sami said every year there had a variety of challenges. “At Indigo we manage to overcome them, we believe that Indigo is among one of the best Indian restaurant in the country at this stage,” he said. “We also won the Trip Advisor Excellence Award, secondly to be rated A-grade by the Ministry of Health including all our food is Halal.” Special guest Ziya Khan and her family has been regular dinners three times a week. She said: “When Fiji comes to mind, then the thoughts of relaxation and comfort comes to mind, and by relaxation and comfort we mean being home which is what we feel at Indigo,” she said.
“The varieties of food, gives our tongues different types of pleasures, the friendly staff, and their professional services have been satisfying us for the past nine years. “Thank you and happy 9th anniversary.” Indigo employs 37 staff members with 18 on the front line and 17 at the back of the house and two expatriate chefs from India.
