The Indigo In­dian Asian Restau­rant at the Port De­na­rau cel­e­brated its ninth an­niver­sary af­ter re­ceiv­ing great news. The eatery owned by Jack’s of Fiji restau­rants has been recog­nised for su­pe­rior ser­vice, walk­ing away with the 2016 Cer­tifi­cate of Ex­cel­lence by in­ter­na­tion­ally recog­nised Amer­i­can travel web­site Trip Ad­vi­sor. Jack’s Restau­rants Op­er­a­tions man­ager, Vishal Sami said ev­ery year there had a va­ri­ety of chal­lenges. “At Indigo we man­age to over­come them, we be­lieve that Indigo is among one of the best In­dian restau­rant in the coun­try at this stage,” he said. “We also won the Trip Ad­vi­sor Ex­cel­lence Award, sec­ondly to be rated A-grade by the Min­istry of Health in­clud­ing all our food is Halal.” Spe­cial guest Ziya Khan and her fam­ily has been reg­u­lar din­ners three times a week. She said: “When Fiji comes to mind, then the thoughts of re­lax­ation and com­fort comes to mind, and by re­lax­ation and com­fort we mean be­ing home which is what we feel at Indigo,” she said.

“The va­ri­eties of food, gives our tongues dif­fer­ent types of plea­sures, the friendly staff, and their pro­fes­sional ser­vices have been sat­is­fy­ing us for the past nine years. “Thank you and happy 9th an­niver­sary.” Indigo em­ploys 37 staff mem­bers with 18 on the front line and 17 at the back of the house and two ex­pa­tri­ate chefs from In­dia.
