Feeling Lucky To Premiere In Fiji Next Month
The English movie Feeling Lucky casting some local talent and actors from New Zealand will premiere on September 1 at local cinemas. In an interview, Director Devesh Pratap Singh said the movie was about three best friends who travel to Fiji for a weekend getaway. “The movie will portray what happens when three best friends get a chance to go from New Zealand to Fiji for a weekend to have some fun where they meet their fourth friend,” Mr Singh said. Mr Singh thanked the support from the locals and the Fijian Government for their contribution to the production. “The support we have received here has been tremendous; we definitely look forward to working with the Fijians in future,” he said. Mr Singh said the movie was shot extensively in Fiji. “70 percent of the movie was shot in Fiji while 30 percent in New Zealand with the movie being shot in Lautoka, Suva, Nadi, Denarau and a few islands,” Mr Singh said. “This movie will be travelling all over the world and Fiji will be seen with the beautiful scenery, meaning more tourist arrivals.” The premiere will also give locals the opportunity to enjoy the movie with the actors from the movie. Mr Singh said the movie was a combination of thriller, comedy and suspense and he urged locals to turn up in numbers and be proud of being Fijians while watching the movie. The movie will also see prominent businessman Jagdish Punja playing a major role.
