AIRCRAFT LANDING INCIDENT – NADI AIRPORT
A Cessna C150 aeroplane belonging to Advance Aviation (Fiji) Limited Pilot Training School suffered a nose wheel collapse while attempting to land at Nadi airport yesterday morning. The sole occupant of the aircraft, the pilot, was unhurt. A report of the incident was received by the Department of Civil Aviation at 8:34am yesterday. A crash alarm was activated by the Control Tower and the AFL Rescue Fire Services immediately responded to the alarm. The pilot was taken to Namaka Health Centre for observation and was cleared by the doctor on duty. No domestic nor international schedules have been affected.
An investigation into the cause of the incident has commenced.
