Labasa play Savusavu in the Vodafone National Women’s Under-18 League this weekend. Labasa coach Ranjan Sharma said it should be an exciting encounter. The team beat Seaqaqa 3-1 in the first round.

Savusavu lead the points table with better goal difference after defeating Seaqaqa 4-0. “We respect the Cakaudrove champs and we have been training accordingly preparing for the 90-minute game,” Sharma said.

“Some girls are back in Labasa after participating in the Fiji Secondary Schools Football Association IDC in Ba so they will be our key players. “I would like to thank the parents and teachers for sending the girls for trials and we look forward for them to do wonders for our district. “Fiji Football Association and Vodafone have done a marvellous job in introducing the U-18 league and also providing incentives to players. “I would like to commend the work of Iosefo Vosoboto and Arthur Simmons for their effort in promoting and developing soccer in the Northern division.” The game will be played at Labasa Muslim College 11:30am on Saturday.
