‘Go Fiji Go’ production team treated
Seventeen Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) staff created the ‘Go Fiji Go’ song and video in just 24 hours. The ‘Go Fiji Go’ production team were rewarded a lunch treat at Holiday Inn in Suva yesterday. After the video was launched, it became one of Fiji’s most popular song inspiring the Fiji Rugby 7s team.
FBC chief executive officer, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, said the song was the hard work of the FBC staff. “The team worked 24 hours to get the lyrics, video and production organised for the Rio Olympics,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said. “I thank my team for their hard work, talent and support in putting everything together which every Fijian enjoys to listen to.”
FBC Gold FM programmes director, Kara Koroi said she was more than happy to be a part of the production team.
“I have always been a rugby follower and would do anything to show my support for Fiji,” Ms Koroi said. FBC TV senior camera and editor, Samuela Soqoyawa said after he heard the lyrics, the song inspired him to participate in making the video. “It was truly overwhelming to see how Fijians showed their support towards the making of the video,” Mr Soqoyawa said.
