Woman ac­cused of steal­ing $15,075

A41-year-old woman ap­peared at the Suva Mag­is­trates Court on Mon­day for al­legedly steal­ing $15,075. Mag­is­trate Shageeth So­maratne granted the ac­cused, Luisa Nanovo, bail in the sum of $1000. Nanovo has been charged with one count of theft. It is al­leged that be­tween Oc­to­ber 10, 2014 and De­cem­ber 23, 2014 at Suva, Nanovo stole $15,075 be­long­ing to a Su­liana Ti­nai.

Her bail conditions are that she is not to re­of­fend, she is to sur­ren­der all her travel doc­u­ments and she has a stopde­par­ture or­der. She was not rep­re­sented, but opted for le­gal aid. Police Inspector Su­liano Sau­ni­toga is the pros­e­cu­tor. The court case has been ad­journed to Septem­ber 23.
