Na Koro Market to feature Lambert Ho
Established artist Lambert Ho describes himself as an interdisciplinary artist who is able to create beauty from the sublime.
The 46-year-old, will be one of the artists that will be featured at the Na Koro Market this Sunday at the Fiji Museum in Suva. Mr Ho said he created art with anything he saw that could be mixed, tied, sewn, screwed, plaited, pasted, painted.
“When it’s time to create, anything is used,” he said. Mr Ho started developing his passion for art ever since he was introduced to paint and butchers paper in kindergarten until today. He said he gained courage when people appreciated his art and buy it to grace their homes.
“I feel whole, that my journey as an artist is fulfilling them, now and for the future,” he said. “A lot of my ‘other works’ have been commissioned so most of Fiji hasn’t seen them, they are in homes around the world, in museums in Canada, New Zealand and London Fabric art and fashion is something I still do,” he said. Currently, Mr Ho is working on his first solo exhibition ever with new art pieces. Na Koro Market organiser Peter Sipeli urged everyone to take advantage of the market which would host kids games, yoga, tai chi and salsa dance classes at no charge. It runs from 8an to 4pm.
