Court grants bail for alleged fraudsters
Two men charged with conspiracy to defraud causing a loss yesterday appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court. Magistrate Makereta Mua has granted bail with a bond of $1000 each to the two accused; Khalil Hussein and Francis Autor. Both were asked to present a surety each who will pay a surety bond of $5000 and as per the state’s request they had been given strict bail conditions.
The pair are not to leave the country and have a stop departure order imposed on them and they are to surrender their passports.
Hussein is to report to the Nausori Police Station and Autor is to report to the Totogo Police Station every Saturday. Both the accused were represented by Rohit Dayal. The court has been adjourned to September 26 for plea.
