Wa­ter sup­ply in Nadi dis­rupted for up­grade

Wa­ter sup­ply in se­lected ar­eas in Nadi will be dis­rupted on Tues­day, Septem­ber 13, to al­low for the con­nec­tion of larger wa­ter pipe­lines through the area. “WAF has an­nounced the dis­rup­tion of the wa­ter sup­ply in se­lected ar­eas in Nadi set for 9am un­til 9pm Tues­day 13th Septem­ber 2016,” said Wa­ter Au­thor­ity of Fiji chief ex­ec­u­tive Opetaia Ravai.

“The dis­rup­tion will al­low for the con­nec­tion of a larger wa­ter pipe­line that will boost wa­ter pres­sure and im­prove the sup­ply of wa­ter to ex­ist­ing cus­tomers in Nadi as well as those liv­ing in Momi Bay, the site of a new ma­jor re­sort. “The new sec­tion of the pipe­line has been con­nected to the ex­ist­ing sys­tem and will be com­mis­sioned and brought into ser­vice at the end of this month when all work will be com­pleted.” Source: Wa­ter Au­thor­ity of Fiji
