Maritime economy expands by 7pc

Beijing: The total production value of China’s maritime industry grew by seven per cent last year, a government report said. The maritime economy generated 6.47 trillion yuan (about F$1.98 trillion) in 2015, accounting for 9.4 per cent of China’s total GDP last year, according to a report issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the State Oceanic Administration (SOA).
