China op­poses to US charges

Bei­jing: China op­poses any coun­try us­ing do­mes­tic laws to carry out “long arm ju­ris­dic­tion” against Chi­nese en­ti­ties or in­di­vid­u­als, a For­eign Min­istry spokesper­son said. The US De­part­ment of Jus­tice said it had filed crim­i­nal charges against China’s Dan­dong Hongx­i­ang In­dus­trial Devel­op­ment Co. and its ex­ec­u­tives for sup­port­ing the nu­clear pro­gramme of the Demo­cratic Peo­ple’s Repub­lic of Korea’s (DPRK), ac­cord­ing to news re­ports. Spokesper­son Geng Shuang said China’s po­si­tion on the DPRK’s devel­op­ment of nu­clear weapon and the de­nu­cle­ariza­tion of the Korean Peninsula is clear and con­sis­tent.
