Super Premier teams Nabekavu and Batinikama have qualified for the semi-finals of the Vanua Levu Muslim Inter District Championship (IDC). Four teams in Pool Two, Nasea, Vunimoli, Tabia and Valebasoga are yet to secure their spot for the semifinals. This was confirmed yesterday by the Vanua Levu Muslim Inter District Championship general secretary Mashud Ali. He said for the Premier Division the top teams in Pool One are Valebasoga, Nadogo and Bua while Bulileka Wailevu, Tandravula and Tabia are contenders for Pool Two. “The top two teams from each pool will qualify for the semi-finals,” Ali said.

“Right now it is very difficult to predict who will win the premier cup and super premier cup as all teams are very competitive. “As on Tuesday night we witnessed a big upset when tournament favourite Nasea lost 2-1 to Vunimoli.” He said the week-long event ends on Sunday.
