The Baby Pearls fin­ished the Ocea­nia World Youth Net­ball qual­i­fiers un­de­feated af­ter beating Cook Is­lands 45-40 in New Zealand yes­ter­day. The Fi­jian U21 net­ters along with Cook Is­lands and Samoa will join de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons New Zealand at the Net­ball World Youth Cup at Gaborone in Botswana next year. The Vicki Wil­son-coached side dom­i­nated lead­ing 15-6, 28-15, 35-27 and 45-40 re­spec­tively in all four quar­ters against the Cook Is­lands. In other games, NZ North­ern Net­ball thrashed Tonga 74-43 while Samoa beat Pa­pua New Guinea 55-32.
