15,014 Stu­dents Sit For Fiji Year 10 Examinations: Reddy

Af­ter the cul­mi­na­tion of Ex­ter­nal ex­ams for Years 6 and 8, the Min­is­ter for Ed­u­ca­tion, Her­itage and Arts, Ma­hen­dra Reddy con­veys his best wishes to all the stu­dents, who are sit­ting for their Year 10 Ex­ter­nal Examinations.

The Fiji Year 10 Ex­am­i­na­tion is set to be­gin to­day and end on Mon­day Oc­to­ber 24, 2016.

A to­tal of 15,014 stu­dents from around Fiji would be sit­ting for the Fiji Year 10 Ex­am­i­na­tion. The ex­am­inable sub­jects taught in Year 10 are: English, Math­e­mat­ics, Ba­sic Sci­ence, So­cial Sci­ence, Home Eco­nomics, Agri­cul­tural Sci­ence, Of­fice Tech­nol­ogy, Com­mer­cial Stud­ies, Ba­sic Tech­nol­ogy, Ba­sic Graph­ics Tech­nol­ogy and Ver­nac­u­lar sub­jects which in­clude Na Vosa VakaViti, Hindi, Urdu, Ro­tu­man and French. The Ed­u­ca­tion Min­is­ter has also called on all stake­hold­ers es­pe­cially, par­ents and guardians to safe­guard the in­ter­ests of the chil­dren.

“It is im­por­tant to pay the high­est level of at­ten­tion to our chil­drens needs dur­ing the Ex­ter­nal Ex­am­i­na­tion Pe­riod; this is when they would need a lot of sup­port from par­ents and guardians.
