Hundreds turn out to enjoy evening with Bollywood sensational singer
Fans of Bollywood singing sensation, Mika Singh, danced to his super hit songs during his live show at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on Tuesday. Amongst his fans were Acting Prime Minister and Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and the Minister for Health and Medical Services, Rosy Akbar.
Singh also sang his elder brother, Daler Mehndi’s Punjabi hits while fans also heard some hits from the evergreen legend Kishore Kumar, during his show. The Fiji Sun team spoke to some of Singh’s fans. Amongst them was a 50-year-old Kishori Lal from Viria, Naitasiri, who came down to Suva with his children to watch Singh’s show.
He said he loves to listen to Singh’s songs and wanted to meet him in person. “I came to Suva after many months and I am very thankful of my children who brought me here to watch him perform for us,” Mr Lal said. Excited 10-year-old Akash Prasad of Suva said Singh was his favourite. “I love Mika Singh’s Subha Hone
Na De song and I came here to listen to that song and see him perform live,” Akash said. James Williams, 23, of Muanikoso, Nasinu said Singh was one of the best singers in Bollywood. “Mika Singh is one of the best and he has given many hit songs in a short period of time to Bollywood,” he said. Fazeelat Singh, 24, of Narere came down to the show for her son, Zion Singh, 3, who loves to dance to Singh’s hits. “My son loves to hear Mika Singh’s songs. Whenever it plays over the radio, he will get up to dance and sing along with it,” Ms Singh said. Over 500 people attended the Live Show. Singh thanked his fans for their love and support.
He hopes to return to Fiji for another big hit show in the next two years.
