Baby Pearls in Tough World Cup Pool
The Fijian Under-21 netball side are in a tough pool of the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup in Gaborone, Botswana. The Vicki Wilson-coached-side are drawn in Pool D where they face England, Trindad & Tobago, Wales and Grenada. The draw was done by Botswana’s Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development Thapelo Olopeng.
International Netball Federation president Molly Rhone also spoke at the event which was attended by members of the netball community, the Botswana sports family, sponsors and media. The 20 qualified teams from across the world were drawn into four pools with hosts Botswana drawn into Pool C alongside Jamaica, Cook Islands, Malaysia and Uganda. Edited by Osea Bola
