Baby Pearls in Tough World Cup Pool

The Fi­jian Un­der-21 net­ball side are in a tough pool of the 2017 Net­ball World Youth Cup in Gaborone, Botswana. The Vicki Wil­son-coached-side are drawn in Pool D where they face Eng­land, Trindad & Tobago, Wales and Gre­nada. The draw was done by Botswana’s Min­is­ter of Youth Em­pow­er­ment, Sport and Cul­ture De­vel­op­ment Thapelo Olopeng.

In­ter­na­tional Net­ball Fed­er­a­tion pres­i­dent Molly Rhone also spoke at the event which was at­tended by mem­bers of the net­ball com­mu­nity, the Botswana sports fam­ily, spon­sors and me­dia. The 20 qual­i­fied teams from across the world were drawn into four pools with hosts Botswana drawn into Pool C along­side Ja­maica, Cook Is­lands, Malaysia and Uganda. Edited by Osea Bola
