Delhi: The Black Caps beat India in a nailbiting finish to the second one-day international, to score their first win of their tour.

India seems to be rejoicing in finally having a competitive cricket series on their hands with local media dishing out praise for the Black Caps’ victory. Having been whitewashed in the test series 3-0 and thumped in the opening one-dayer, it seems the New Zealand camp weren’t the only ones happy to finally get a win with their thrilling six-run final over victory in Delhi. Kane Williamson received plenty of attention for his century that saved the streaky New Zealand innings of 242 and also for his captaincy as the Kiwis managed to strangle the Indian run chase. “Williamson returned to form with an eyecatching 118 before his bowlers suffocated India’s middle order in a defence of a modest total,” the Times of India reported.
