Sports Help, Verevou tells
Josefa Verevou, who is a former student of Hilton Special School, encourages students with special needs to participate in sports. He said sports could be a platform where students can learn to be independent. Born without arms Verevou did not use this shortfall as a barrier to accomplish his dreams.
“I’ve been to overseas competition and also participated at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta,” he said. “I am just assisting the children and let them know that they can also travel the world through sports and become independent. I have my own family and I am just living independently.”
Verevou enjoys life with his five children and assists Hilton Special School in sports. Edited by Osea Bola
