Se­bas­tian Singh beat New Zealand’s Daniel Maxwell on points at Prince Charles Park, Nadi last night. Mean­while Fi­jian mid­dleweight cham­pion Opeti Tagi sur­vived an early score to stop Kunal Nair in the third round.

‘King’ Khan re­tires Vet­eran Lautoka slug­ger Wahid ‘King’ Khan an­nounced his re­tire­ment soon af­ter he threw in the towel against up­com­ing mid­dleweight To­masi Gau­navou of Suva. Khan strug­gled to keep up to pace as the younger Gau­navou found his mark with his jabs and thun­der­ing hooks. For­mer Fi­jian mid­dleweight cham­pion Ab­hay Chand handed Franco Fra­zier his first pro­fes­sional loss by knock­ing him out in the fourth round. Chand us­ing his ex­pe­ri­ence well timed his hook which caught Frasier flush on the jaw. It was a dis­ap­point­ing night, for Nereo ‘Ter­mi­na­tior’ Cakau­tini when his op­po­nent Sam Fos­ter of Jittu Boxing Sta­ble failed to show up.

Mu­daliar still un­beaten Stylish ban­tamweight boxer Sachin Mu­daliar main­tained his win­ning run with a first round knock­out win over Az­mat Mo­hammed in the 4x3 min­utes fight. Navosa’s Fil­imoni Taginikula proved too strong for Epeli Naliva by stop­ping him in the sec­ond round.
