Buadromo firm on chal­lenge

Fi­jiana XV hooker Pasemaca Buadromo is con­fi­dent of mak­ing a mark against Pa­pua New Guinea this Satur­day. The Ma­vana, Vanu­a­bal­avu, Lau na­tive be­lieves her ded­i­ca­tion and sac­ri­fice for the past two years has fi­nally paid off. “Hard work and sac­ri­fice has paid off for me. This is the first time for me to join the Fi­jiana squad and it’s an hon­our to rep­re­sent my coun­try.

“I started play­ing rugby two years ago with the Cen­tral Chiefs and it was just my friends that I hang out with in­tro­duced me to the sport,” Buadromo said. The for­mer Adi Cakobau School stu­dent is the eldest of five sib­lings.

“As an eldest child in the family I am set­ting ex­am­ples and I want to be a good role model for them,” she added. Her mother Cegu Tuwai com­mended Pasemaca’s ef­fort mak­ing it to the fi­nal 26 mem­ber squad. “I want to thank God for the life of Pasemaca and I will sup­port her all the way in her rugby ca­reer.
