Man asks for his case to re­main in Mag­is­trates Court

A21-year-old charged for al­leged bur­glary and theft elected for his case to stay at the Mag­is­trates Court. Sai­moni Talai ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Waleen Geroge at the Suva Mag­is­trates Court yes­ter­day.

It is al­leged that on Oc­to­ber 4, Talai at Rai­waqa, will­fully and un­law­fully en­tered a home with in­tent to com­mit theft.

It is also al­leged that he stole prop­erty with val­ued at $4218. Po­lice Pros­e­cu­tor Caro­line Fisher served full phase dis­clo­sures.

Talai is to present two suit­able sureties on the next date. He has been re­manded. The case has been ad­journed to Novem­ber 14.
