Musket Cove guests, owners help boost Fiji Red Cross
Musket Cove Island Resort and Marina, handed over $10, 000 to boost Fiji Red Cross operations. Musket Cove director Will Moffat handed over donation to Fiji Red Cross market events manager Mareta Tovata. “We are committed to giving back to our community. Many people were affected by Cyclone Winston for which we asked our guests to open their hearts and wallets to donate to Fiji Red Cross in assisting the many thousands of people who lost everything,” Mr Moffat said.
“We can proudly say that a total of $10,000 was raised. Half of which was a pledge from our owners to match every dollar raised by our wonderful guests.” He said giving back to the community was an integral part of Musket Cove’s operations.
“In 2012, we jointly established and maintain The Western divisions fist Kidney Dialysis Clinic in Nadi,” he said. “We are supporters of the ‘Buy Fijian Made’ initiative. Items in our boutique and general store are made, grown or sewn in Fiji, and many have come from, or supported from rural craft groups,” Mr Moffat said. Ms Tovata thanked Musket Cove for their initiative towards assisting their operations.
