Melbourne: Roy Krishna scored for Wellington Phoenix goal in the 63rd minute but it was not enough as Melbourne Victory romped to a 6-1 win on Monday night. Victory were in top form with with Besart Berisha and Marco Rojas at their ruthless best.

A bizarre two-minute spell in the first half that led to a Berisha penalty spot brace setup the win, before the striker completed his hat-trick as the Kiwis’ barren run continued.

Rojas iced it with a late double of his own, before assisting another two in front of 20,113 fans at Etihad Stadium, setting up a mouth-watering clash away to top-placed Sydney FC on Saturday. It was déjà vu within a two-minute spell for Victory as two clumsy Phoenix challenges sent Berisha to the penalty spot. The first came on 19 minutes, with Dutchman Roly Bonevacia tripping Daniel Georgievski after a clever release from Oliver Bozanic. The second was slightly unfortunate but no less careless from Dylan Fox, who tangled with Berisha.- Fox Sports
