With just three days to go until the Vodafone Flying Fijians take on the Barbarians at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast, players are looking fit. Those who have joined the team from their various clubs will be monitored closely said coach John McKee.

“All the players are fit and raring to go on Saturday,” McKee said. “But we must monitor workloads of some of the players who joined the team from their clubs as they have had high training and game loads at their clubs.

“Our focus in training is intensity rather than volume.” Since arriving in Belfast, McKee said they are happy with the facilities have used and are focusing on their game plan for the week. “Preparation has been going well at our new team base in Belfast. The players are very motivated for this game against the Barbarians,” he said. “We have worked on building our game plan and team cohesion from our trainings in France last week. “The team trained twice at the Queens University Sports Fields. We will train once again with a captain’s run at Kingspan Stadium on Friday.” The team for Saturday will be announced today. Edited by Osea Bola
