Seek high education, Reddy urges graduates
Education does not end here, seek higher education, the Minister for Education, Arts and Heritage Mahendra Reddy urged Montfort Technical Institute graduates yesterday. Mr Reddy was speaking to 42 graduates at the institute in Savusavu. “Let me also remind you that your education and training does not end here, in fact it is just the beginning,” Mr Reddy told “Do not stop upgrading your qualification. it is not enough to simply try and get by in life as that does not move the world forward.
“But rather, you must strive to excel in everything you do, that is excellence in every task, large or small.” The graduates shed a few tears as the “O
Hail Thee Montfort” echoed through the graduation venue.
They bade farewell to the institution that had trained and housed them for the past two years. “You are all great in your own right and you need to realise that to dream big,” he said. “Remember that the reputation of Montfort Technical Institute depends on the reputation of those it has educated in the wider community. “Therefore, each one of you carry the name of this esteemed institution and your success in the society will depict success for this esteemed institute and build on its reputation.”
