Pa­cific Cup semi­fi­nals to­day

De­fend­ing Pa­cific Cup champions Jack’s/ Pro­fes­sional Val­u­a­tion Nadi take on USA All Stars in the first semi-fi­nal of the Ram’s Clean­ing Ser­vices Pa­cific Cup tour­na­ment at Prince Charles Park, Nadi this morn­ing.

In the other semi-fi­nal Suva face 2014 Pa­cific Cup champions New Zealand All Stars. The Jet­set­ters dumped Aus­tralian All Stars side 3-0 in their pool match. Striker Anish Khem scored twice while An­drew Naicker drove in their fi­nal goal. Nadi Foot­ball di­rec­tor Javed Ahmed said they are go­ing for a win. “We need to work on our fin­ish­ing. All teams will be out to win the semi-fi­nals. We will need to lift our game and the hot con­di­tions should favour us. We need to re­cover and play smart foot­ball in or­der to con­serve our en­ergy.” In the fi­nal pool match NZ All Stars came from be­hind to beat 10-men Labasa 2-1.
