As­pir­ing nurse at­tributes achieve­ment to par­ents

Nakaikogo Sanatan Dharam head girl, Sala­seini De­lana, was beam­ing with joy when she was named Dux yes­ter­day. She de­scribed her achieve­ment as one of her proud­est mo­ments so far, but at­trib­uted her suc­cess to her par­ents. The Beqa lass, who daily com­mutes from Sawani, is the fourth youngest of eight chil­dren.

Her fa­ther, Ilaitia De­lana, said: “I’m very happy with her achieve­ment and she has sur­passed all the chal­lenges espe­cially trav­el­ling daily from Sawani to Koronivia.” Sala­seini will be head­ing to Adi Cakobau School next year and as­pires to be­come a nurse.

Chief guest at the prize­giv­ing cer­e­mony, Min­is­ter for Ed­u­ca­tion, Her­itage and Arts Ma­hen­dra Reddy, re­minded the stu­dents and par­ents on the im­por­tance of Ed­u­ca­tion in life. “We want you to suc­ceed in life and this Govern­ment has made ed­u­ca­tion

free,” Mr Reddy said. Nakaikogo Sanatan Dharam School has 474 stu­dents from Year 1 to Year 8. The school is lo­cated in Toga, along the Koronivia/Lokia Road, Rewa. Edited by Naisa Koroi
