Visoto kin­der­garten cel­e­brates its grad­u­ates

Visoto Kin­der­garten stu­dents on Ovalau cel­e­brated their grad­u­a­tion last Fri­day. The kin­der­garten opened this year with only 28 stu­dents. By the end 151 stu­dents had en­rolled. There are plans to open a new class in Nasova to cater for chil­dren liv­ing in the Le­vuka Town area. Head teacher Su­luo Waqa was grate­ful to those who as­sisted in the set-up of the kin­der­garten.

“Through­out the year, we par­tic­i­pated in all ac­tiv­i­ties pro­vided by the Pri­mary School at Visoto District School where the main cen­tre is.” In Term 2 the kin­der­garten par­tic­i­pated in the clos­ing of the Early Child­hood Week at Bureta. They also catered for chil­dren from the vil­lages of Bureta, Naqeledamu, Nuku­to­cia, Visoto, Na­cobo and Na­tokalau at the Visoto District School. Chil­dren who grad­u­ated this year in­clude 49 five-year-olds and six four-year-olds. Op­er­a­tional Man­ager for Bum­ble Bee Sea Foods, Brett Carter was the chief guest at the cel­e­bra­tions.
