$3K For Druavesi Tourney
Pacific Energy has provided $3000 for the 24th Druavesi Tournament which tees off at the Fiji Golf Club on Friday. Queen Victoria School Old Boys (QVSOB) president Anasa Vucea is thankful for the sponsorship and anticipate an exciting tournament with six outside schools taking part. The new schools are Marist Brothers High, Ratu Kadavulevu, Ballantine Memorial, Suva Grammar and Adi Cakobau. “We want to thank Pacific Energy for their kind sponsorship,”Vocea said. “We would not have been able to organise this competition for the last five years without their support. “It has been a difficult year because of Cyclone Winston but Pacific Energy has assisted the various communities in Fiji who have been badly affected by Winston.” Meanwhile, Pacific Energy business manager Tapuaki Finauga said it has been a privilege supporting the Druavesi tournament for the past five years. “We have been with the QVSOB in sponsoring the Druavesi tournament and we are very proud to partner again this year,” Finauga said. “We feel that such a tournament fosters good competition and the tournament gets bigger every year as golfers look forward to improve their handicap. \ “We wish all the players a great tournament.” The tournament will be hosted by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
