JPs top consumer complaint list in North
Complaints against Commissioners of Oath and Justices of Peace topped the Consumer Council of Fiji’s North regional list this year. Speaking during a Fiji Media Watch workshop in Labasa yesterday, Senivesi Rasoni, a representative from the council, said it was disappointing. Some were illegally charging members of the public who sought their services. Also on the top five were the landlord Tenancy complaints where tenants have been raising concerns on rent related issues.
“Please note that your landlord is supposed to give you a written agreement before you enter into the premises and whenever you pay rent you are supposed to be given a receipt,” Ms Rasoni said. The other three top five issues were complaints about electronic goods, lay-buy sales, and food and drinks. JOSAIA RALAGO Edited by Ranoba Baoa
