Why we left Fiji after 1987

Fiji Sun - - Comment -

Our family left Fiji after 1987 because my father was in a profession where he was dead against what Sitiveni Raluca had done. But before we left, we saw how this country was torn apart. We have seen the many good things which has happened in Fiji in the past few years and at one stage we were thinking of coming back and investing in Fiji but after hearing SODELPA politicians like Niko Nawaikula go on and on and on in Parliament and not contributing constructively in any way, I have given up the thought of retiring in Fiji.

There were iTaukeis who were too disgusted to stay in Fiji after seeing fellow iTaukei terrorising another ethnic group. Not all of us were in favour of it. We still do not believe that the iTaukei have anything to fear or worry about in terms of their security and future.

Be mindful of false prophets my brothers and sisters, do not be swayed.
