Al­leged fake tax col­lec­tor ar­rested

Aman was ap­pre­hended yes­ter­day af­ter­noon while al­legedly try­ing to im­per­son­ate a Fiji Rev­enue and Cus­toms Service of­fi­cer. “The impersonator had called Fiji Min­i­mart this (yes­ter­day) af­ter­noon and told the com­pany that they were go­ing to be au­dited by Rev­enue & Cus­toms,” Fiji Rev­enue and Cus­toms Service chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer, Vis­vanath Das said.

“The impersonator fur­ther ad­vised the staff that the au­dit can be can­celled if they pay him cash,” Mr Das said. Mr Das said the al­leged impersonator was from Na­madi Heights.
