What is a cen­sus?

The cen­sus is the largest data gath­er­ing ex­er­cise car­ried out in Fiji. It is a count of ev­ery per­son in the coun­try at a par­tic­u­lar point in time.

What is the im­por­tance of the cen­sus?

The cen­sus will give a com­pre­hen­sive pic­ture of the so­cial liv­ing con­di­tions of Fi­jians in 2017. It will pro­vide de­tailed pop­u­la­tion fig­ures at the lo­cal level.
