MHCC chocolate thief gets suspended sentence
A 33-year-old shoemaker was handed a suspended sentence yesterday after he was convicted for stealing a packet of 200gram Cadbury Milk Chocolate by the Suva Magistrate Court. Magistrate Deepika Prakash sentenced Vikash Hussein to three months imprisonment suspended for one year for theft. Hussein stole the chocolate from MHCC on July 24 this year. He was stopped by a security guard and was arrested and interviewed by the Police to which he admitted to the offence. Magistrate Prakash said she was satisfied with Hussein’s early guilty plea and gave him credit for it.
