Suva Wait For Tekiata Release Before West Game
The “Capital City” side Suva is expected to get the release of Ba’s Remueru Tekiata to feature in the sixth round of the Vodafone Premier League competition.
The men in white will take on Lautoka at Churchill Park this Sunday at 3pm.
Speaking to SUN sports yesterday, Suva football president Ritesh Pratap said preparations were on track for the side as they aim to encounter their second win against Lautoka. “Despite the postponement of the matches since the past few weeks, training sessions have been going on normal for the side,” Pratap said.
“We have been preparing well for this match and with the inclusion of the Rewa players in the team will be a bonus for us.”
“And the players have seemed to have missed a month of matches now. So far, we do not have any inclusion of new players in the side for the match this weekend.
“However, we are hopeful to get the release of Ba’s Remueru Tekiata’s release today to feature in the Suva side against Lautoka this Sunday.”
“Basically, our aim for this year is to win the league and despite knowing Lautoka is a tough team we are still going for a win. Knowing Lautoka is champion side, so they will come prepared to give us a tough competition. “We are grateful to see the commitment and dedication shown by the players who have been attending training sessions all throughout and we expect that it continues throughout the season,” he said.
Meanwhile, in the other match Nadi takes on Tavua at Prince Charles Park and on Saturday Labasa meets Dreketi at Subrail Park at 1:30pm.
