The Ratu Kadavulevu School Under-15 side played their hearts out to trounce Lelean Memorial School 21-5 in the Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship final at the ANZ Stadium, Suva yesterday. “They have emptied their tank,” RKS U15 coach Timoci Satakala told SUNsports after they successfully retained the title.

“Before coming to the final we were positive, confident and determined to take on whatever challenge that comes our way,” Satakala said.

“We approached the final knowing that it was going to be tough. Today the credit goes to God and to the players

for putting on an outstanding performance.”

What happened: In the first half the boys from Davuilevu started strongly as they dominated possession. Piling on the pressure they scored the first try to wing Keni Wainiqolo with the conversion going wide.

Halftime: LMS 5 - 0 RKS.

In the second half RKS turned the table as they pressured LMS into mistakes and ran in three converted tries. Comment: LMS U15 coach, Meli Serukalou said: “I want to thank the boys for getting us to the final and they put in a great performance despite the fact that we came out second best.”
