Nacola named new Managing Director BSP Life
The chief executive officer of the Bank of South Pacific Group, Robin Fleming, has announced the appointment of Michael Nacola as the new Managing Director BSP Life to succeed Mr Malakai Naiyaga from 1 January, 2019.
Mr Nacola is a member of the BSP Life executive team and currently holds the position of General Manager Distribution and Marketing, a position he has held for the past seven years.
Mr Nacola has held various management and executive positions prior to joining BSP Life and has completed the BSP Group’s Leadership De- velopment Senior Leaders programme.
Mr Nacola holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons) and a Master of Management Studies from the University of Waikato, NZ
In making the announcement Mr Fleming thanked Mr Naiyaga for his contribution to BSP in Fiji. “We are very grateful for Malakai’s sound leadership and immense contribution to the business which he has steered in a time of change and growth. We have been very pleased with its business performance since we took over in December 2009”.
Mr Fleming expressed confidence in Mr Nacola’s abilities to continue the growth course of BSP Life. He assured staff and customers of a smooth transition process. The transition of leadership from Mr Naiyaga to Mr Nacola will commence immediately with Mr Naiyaga finishing off at the end of January 2019. Mr Naiyaga will remain involved with the BSP Group assisting in some of its strategic initiatives and will continue to sit on BSP Life’s subsidery boards. Mr Naiyaga congratulated Mr Nacola on his appointment. “I am pleased that we have been able to train and promote from within our business for the Managing Director role.
