Draunidalo Leads HOPE Charge On SODELPA

Fiji Sun - - Nation - Jyoti Pratibha

The political party HOPE is the only opposition party to have had the courage to speak out without fear against SODELPA.

And, its leader, Tupou Draunidalo has led the charge from the front to call out SODELPA and its leader Sitiveni Rabuka and party members over their hypocrisy.

She is no stranger to politics. She has grown up surrounded by the movers and shakers of Fijian politics and has seen first hand what Mr Rabuka’s coup did to Fiji and Fijian families.

Her anger and annoyance with the coup culture introduced in Fiji by Mr Rabuka is justified. She has seen droves of people leave Fiji in 1987, seen qualified Fijians flee this country to save their lives and to save the lives of their families. While she has been so outspoken and critical of SODELPA, her former party – National Federation Party – need to pick a leaf from her book. NFP’s continued disinterest in openly criticising SODELPA has not gone unnoticed.

Where Ms Draunidalo has called a spade, a spade, her former leader Biman Prasad has been skirting around the issue while issuing vague and generalised statements meant to allay any suggestions that he still hopes to jump into SODELPA’s bed after the election of 2018. Mr Prasad needs to learn a thing or two about courage from Ms Draunidalo seeing that the only time his party did well was when she was in it.

Tupou Draunidalo's anger and annoyance with the coup culture introduced in Fiji by SODELPA's Sitiveni Rabuka is justified.
