Sun Insurance Company Pte Limited has paid out $4million for fire cover under the homeowner’s insurance policy from April, 2019 to April this year.

This was confirmed by Sun Insurance Company Pte Limited Manager UnderwritingBroker Avikash Ram.

Fire cover is a form of property insurance designed to compensate the insured against losses or damages to the property itself by any insured peril. Mr Ram said there were over 3,000 house owners policies for residential. “Owning a home costs a lot of money. The mortgage itself eats up a big chunk of your housing budget, but property taxes, furnishings and insurance bump up your monthly financial commitment even more,” Mr Ram said.

Homeowners insurance

“Homeowners insurance protects your home, which may very well be your largest investment, and gives you a sense of security. “A homeowners insurance policy covers the cost to rebuild the home’s structure if the damage falls under the scope of the policy. “The amount of coverage on the policy determines how much the insurance company will pay toward rebuilding the house, so you want to make sure that amount is accurate.

“By insuring the structure of your home, you are protecting yourself financially should damage occur.” He said they had the best policy.
